MY BTS MERCH

These are some of the BTS stuff I have in my room.

The biggest black package you can see is BTS SUMMER PACKAGE 2019 which my aunt gave me as christmas gift last year. We had pre-ordered it, when we were still in summer holidays. Because most of BTS official merch runs out days after its release. I was so excited for it since it is my first package. I loved everything so much. I got Yoongi's daily out of the seven options that there were. I really liked it , and also the little blue fan.

The smaller package next to it is the ARMY BOMB. It's something that every fan should have. It's a type of light stick that it's used at the concerts to show support to their idols. It's a characterist of Kpop; every music band has their own light stick design. I was going to use it at BTS concert in Barcelona, but unfortunately the COVID-19 has changed everything. I really wish to be able to see the Army Bomb Ocean, which is about the view that ARMY BOMB's lights form.

Then we have the albums. The one with a blue 7 is their  recent album The Map of The Soul: 7 and before it, they had released The Map of The Soul: Persona (the pink one), which also has 4 versions; I only bought one version from each of them. Futhermore, I have Skool Luv Affair, the oldest album from all the ones I have. It was given by my friends on my birthday. My favorite album is BTS WORLD, the black one. The cover and everything looks literally so beautiful. I love it so much and I'm so happy that I got Jungkook's photocard. On the other hand, we have Love Yourself: Her, version L. I like Love Yourself albums covers' decoration so much: the lines that form a flower, the rainbow effect...

Additionally, I have a few BT21 stuffs. The pink little box of Cooky includes a watch which my mom bought me on my birthday. I really like it! It's just so so cute. Then I have Tata's diadem and hair band which I bought for BTS movie. I also own some unofficial merch like Jimin's calendar, which I got at a Kpop exhibition.

SONG I RECOMMEND

Here is some of my favorite songs from BTS playlist.

MAGIC SHOP

The first song I suggest listening is "Magic Shop". The lyrics is truly emotional and heart-warming, even if you don't understand what they say, the melody also attracts you. When I heard this song even without knowing what they were saying, I just fell in love immediately with it. It's really moving, literally everything is. BTS showed me that to understand a song, you just need to feel it; language is not an obstacle in the musci world.

DYNAMITE

It's their recent song, released on 21st August. "Dynamite" granted BTS their first No. 1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 and it has sold over 200 million units in the U.S. The music is really motivator that always makes me dance. I love the music clip too where they are dressed like the 80s or 90s, following the aesthetic effect trend. It's an upbeat disco-pop song with elements with elements of funk, soul and bubblegum pop. I actually love everything about this new song, just can't stop listening to it.

EUPHORIA

"Euphoria is a song sung as a solo by member Jungkook and released on August 24 with the compilation album Love Yourself: Answer. It was written by DJ Swivel and also being the sole producer. The song really touched my heart. It might be one of the best songs I've ever listened to. The soft and relaxing beat gives me a melancholic feeling while the lyrics makes your mind fly to an imaginary world where you will be able to feel that inmense happiness. I have cried when I heard the song for the first time; his angelic voice makes the song even more beautiful and touching.

YOUNG FOREVER

This is also a kind emotional song. It was released with the album The Most Beaautiful Moment in Life on May 2. The track is very emotional since it explains how hard was for them to reach where they are nowadays. It also teaches me that on the way to the dream you will find with many obstacles, you will get hurt and feel down; but you're still young, you still have time, you should keep runing towards your dream. It might be hard to reach, but it's not impossible.

BRING THE SOUL

Bring The Soul: The Movie is the third documentary film directed by Park Jun-soo, featuring BTS. The film is co-produced by Big Hit Entertainment, and distributed by Trafalgar Releasing. It was limitedly released on August 7, 2019.

The film lasted around 103 minutes and the tickets went on sale on July 3. It was released to 110 countries around the world, the "widest-ever event cinema debut" in history. Following its release, it was reported that the movie has grossed $24.3 million in total.

The journey of BTS continues!

This special presentation also includes a sneak peek at the new film BREAK THE SILENCE: THE MOVIE.

It was the second movie I've watched of BTS. It shows the scenes behind the public camera. It's just unaccountable how much effort they've been putting on their dream. I really admire them. In my opinion, no one has the right to critize someone when they don't know anything about he or she. It's so rude to say horrible things about someone when you haven't even gone through things they have. During the movie, I saw how many times they nearly fainted because of the stress and how much they were working just to make our presence worth it. They made who they are today. They deserve it so much. I love BTS. BTS has changed people's mind and showed their support through everything (tweets, songs, speeches...)Their songs are a kind of remedy.

JEON JUNGKOOK

Jungkook, also with the nicknames of "JK" or "kook", was born on September 1st, 1997. In Busan, South Korea. He holds the position of main vocal of the group for his incredible vocals and he is the youngest member of BTS too.

At the age of 13, Jungkook attended the audition for the television talent show ‘Superstar K’ but was rejected. But on his way home, he got offers from eight different agencies. He was soon signed by Big Hit Entertainment. Jeon Jungkook used to play taekwondo since his childhood and holds a black taekwondo belt. He also learned breakdance in his fifth grade. In the 7th year, Jungkook learned B-boying in a club where he went with his friends.

On February 7, 2017, he graduated from the School of Performing Arts Seoul. The event was celebrated with all members of BTS.

He is currently studying at Global Cypher University in the Department of Broadcasting and Entertainment.

After he debuted, he has sung two solo tracks; the first, "Begin" from the 2016 album Wings, it tells his story of moving to Seoul at a young age to become an idol and expresses his gratitude to his members for taking care of him during that time. The second track, a song titled "Euphoria", was released with an nine-minute short MV on April 5, 2018 as the introduction to the third part of BTS' "Love Yourself" series. The full studio track was included on their album Love Yourself: Answer on August 24, 2018.

Euphoria was produced by DJ Swivel and charted at number five on the Billboard Bubbling Under Hot 100 Singles chart. It charted for 13 weeks on the World Digital Song Sales.

Jungkook has been credited as the main producer for two of BTS' songs: "Love is Not Over" and "Magic Shop".

He is really way too perfect, literally so good at everything. He is my bias from BTS, which means the favorite member. His voice is actually so heart-warming and breathtakingly beautiful. And his dance skills are also incredible, it is always so entertaining to watch his performances. He is very perfectionist who makes a big effort to give his best to his fans and always gets sad and stressed when he does something wrong. Jungkook is enterprising, he loves trying new things; even if he is the main vocalist of the group, he rapped in some tracks they released. JK really loves so much his fans who even tattooed “ARMY” permanently on his hand; it’s so lucky to have him and we will never deserve him.

KIM TAEHYUNG

Kim Taehyung, popularly known as "V", is a singer, songwriter, and dancer. Taehyung was born on Daegu, South Korea. He and his younger sister and brother were born to farmers. While he was in elementary school, he aspired to be a professional singer, and took up saxophone lessons in early middle school as a means of pursuing the career. Taehyung initially became a trainee of Big Hit Entertainment after passing an audition in Daegu. After graduating from Korean Arts High School in 2014, he attended the Global Cyber Universitu from where he completed the College degree.

In 2013, he debuted as an official member of BTS. He was first credited for music composition in The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, Part 1 when he co-wrote and co-produced the song Hold Me Tight. He also contributed to writing lyrics for the song Fun Boyz, co-composed by Yoongi. Furthermore, he created the music composition and lyrics for a solo song called Stigma from the album Wings. Talking about covers, taehyung covered some songs like Hug Me and Someone Like You.

In May 2018, his second solo song, Singularity was released under the album Love Yourself: Tear. Singulariry is another way to say "singular", as in "the state of". Here the title likely just refers to its simple meaning of "being singular"; as the song is about being isolated withn love and watching that love fall apart.

In 2019, he released another two solo tracks on SoundCloud, Scenery and Winter Bear. Scenery is a fan-favorite song because apart from composing and writing the song, he also took its cover photo, showcasing how mutil-talent he is.

Taehyung's voice has a low and deep tenor, which makes it peculiar but also attractive. I like so much Winter Bear. The melody is very soft and chilling, and combining it with his voice, it gives to the song a nostalgic feel. The MV scenes show past memories taken in his time during BTS's past tour ventures. It's just a whole masterpiece, every single moment is fiilled with endless emotion. It was shows how talented and hard-working is Taehyung since it's his first full song in english made completely by himself. He is such a lovely guy; he told once to Armys "I purple you" in a concert and said that "purple is the last color of the rainbow. Purple means I will trust and love you for a long time".

PARK JIMIN

Park Jimin was born on Octuber 13, 1995 in Busan, South Korea. His family consists of his dad, mom and a younger brother. Before debuting as a member of BTS, he was at Busan High School of Arts as the top student in modern dance, there he studied contemporary dance. Because of his great dance skills, a teacher suggested he audition with an entertainment company. Once he passed the auditions of Big Hit Entertainment in 2012, he transferred to Korea High School with Taehyung, graduatin in 2014. JImin was valedictiorian in his pre-debut years (highest ranked student aka no.1 overall) and he was class president for 9 years.

On June 13, 2013, he debuted. In the group, Jimin holds the position of vocalist and dancer. Under BTS, he has released two solo tracks: "Lie" and "Serendipity". The song "Lie" was released in 2016 on the album Wings. It was described as dazzling and dramatic, conveying dark undertones and emotions that helped reflect the overall concept of the album. In contrast, "Serendipity" from the Love Yourself: Her album released in 2017 was  soft and sensual, unraveling the joy, conviction and curiosity of love.

"Promise" is an unofficial song written by Jimin with RM's help which was released on December 31, 2018. The track is about loving yourself. Although JImin wrote the song for himself, it's also a message to fans. He sings that Armys should be their own light so that they can find the strength to love themselves through thick and then. In the end, he sings that fans should link their pinky fingers and promise that they'll love themselves.

Jimin has a very beautiful voice and also great dance skills. My favorite solo song of Jimin is Serendipity. Its beat creates a calm and fantasy enviroment, and makes you get into the lyrics. Its music clip is one of my favorites. Everything recorded and every detail conveys a heavenly and ideal feeling. I love the part when he is sitting on a board with the moon near to him or the moment he was falling in to a colorful hole. The view are just unaccountably gorgeous. They did really a great job. On the other hand, Jimin has studied contemporary dance which makes his dance moves look so delicate.

JUNG HOSEOK

He's also the rapper of the group. Hoseok or better known by J-Hope, was born on February 18th, 1994. He does the same jobs that other two rappers do, such as songwriter, composer and record producer. Hoseok is the main dancer of BTS too that stands out for his dance skills, and also notable for his large input in songwriting and production in the discography in the group.

Before the debut with BTS, he was part of the underground dance team Neuron and took dance classes at Gwangju Music Academy.  He was really incredible at dancing; he won many local prizes for it, including reaching the first place in a national dance competition in 2008.

Years later, he made his debut as a member of BTS and he has been involved in the creation process of every album in BTS' discography.

On March 1, 2018, he released his first solo mixtape which is called "Hope World" along with a music video for the title track "Daydream" A music video for the B-side "Airplane" was later released on March. It made him the highest-charting solo KOrean artist on the Billboard 200 at the time of the mixtape's release.

In 2019, he made a collaboration with Becky G for "Chicken Noodle Soup". The track was at top 81 on the Billboard Hot 100, with 9,7M streams and 11K downloads for the week ending Octuber 4.

Besides he is so good at rapping, he is also a great dancer. He holds the main dancer place with Jimin. I subjectively love his collaboration with Becky G so much, the song and the dance moves are so catchy. A lot of people had imitated the choreography through Tik Tok and it became a trend. It fascinates me Hoseok in Mic Drop era. It is just so iconic. His powerful movements and deep voice make the song even more attractive and energetic. He is so so good at dancing; every gesture he does is perfectly done. He is a really funny person who always creates a very pleasant enviroment. I like his personality quite a lot.

MIN YOONGI

Yoongi was born in Daegu, South Korea on March 9th of 1993. He is also known as Suga, his artist name. He got his stage name from the CEO because he is pale and his smile is sweet as sugar. Yoongi is one of the three rappers of BTS but he does the songwriter's and record producer's job too.

He has been very interested on rapping and writing lyrics since he was young. He began to write musci lyrics and learned about MIDI by age 13. On the other hand, he worked a part-time job at a record studio by age 17.

Suga trained under Big Hit Entertainment for three years alongside members Hoseok and RM. He made his debut as a member of BTS on Mnet's M Countdown with the track "No More Dream" from their debut single album 2 Cool 4 Skool. He has produced and written lyrics for a variety of tracks on all of BTS' albums.

Yoongi is a very hard-working person and does so many things for the group just like creating the intro/outro-beat, writing lyrics... He released a mixtape via "Agust D" SoundCloud on August 15, 2016. On the record, he discussed mateers such as his struggles with depression and social phobia.

I personally like his rap so much; they always leave me in shook. My favorite raps are August D and Daechwita. August D is truly so iconic. The speed is just indescribable. On the other hand, he is a very talented person who writes wonderful lyrics and produces so good melodies for BTS songs. He always spends so much time on his room producing and working, which shows how much effort he has been putting to get where he is nowadays. Yoongi teaches people several things from his own lyrics and he also transmits his emotions through them. I'm so glad that he has debuted in this group.

KIM SEOKJIN

Kim Seok-jin, also known by his stage name Jin, was born on December 4, 1992, in Gyeonggi Province, South Korea. His family consists of his mother, father, and older brother.

When Seokjin was in junior high school, he was scouted by SM Entertainment off the street, but he rejected the offer because he thought it could be a scam. He initially was interested in being an actor, attending Konkuk University and graduating with a degree in art and acting on February 22nd of 2017.

Jin was hired by Big Hit Entertainment for his looks while walking down the street. At the time, Jin was studying acting and had no idea in music. On June 13, 2013, Jin made his debut as one of the four vocalists in BTS with their debut single album 2 Cool 4 Skool.

Seokjin is considered as a helpful and sympathetic person. In December 2018, he donated various supplies to the Korean Animal Welfare Association to celebrate his birthday, purchasing food, blankets, and dishes for the organization. He also donated 321 kilograms of food to the Korea Animal Rights Advocates (KARA), another Korean animal welfare non-profit.

Since May 2018, Kim has been a monthly donor to UNICEF Korea, requesting that his donations be kept private at the time. They were eventually publicized following his induction into the UNICEF Honors Club in May 2019 for donating over ₩100 million (about US$84,000).

Jin has a great voice and can hit very high notes. It's really impressive the way he sings, I really love it; it just drives you to another world. He's an amazing singer and even if he is not so good at dancing, he always tries to give his best and to improve it. He also writes lyrics. Some songs written by him are Awake, Love is not over... He is a very talented person and it's blessing to have him in BTS. In my oponion, he seems such a helpful and nice person by helping and donating for people who are in need.

KIM NAMJOON

Kim Namjoon is the rapper and the leader of the group, he usually does  thelyricist's and songwriter's job too. It's also know as RM, his artistic name. He was born on 12th of September in Goyang, South Korea.

He was a brillant student and did exceedingly well in academics. He actively wrote poetry and often received awards for his writings. Through this, RM started to be interested in pursuing a literary career but decided against it. At age of 11, he became interested in hip-hop and transitioned to writing lyrics. In 2007, he started rapping in local amateur hip-hop circles, creating his first self-composed recording.

Even if he scored in the top 1% of the nation in the university entrance examinations for language, math, foreign language and social studies, he wanted to follow his dream and sacrifice all the academic achievements.

In 2010, Namjoon auditioned for Big Hit CEO Bang Si-hyuk. Bang offered RM a spot at the record label, and, without his parents knowledge, he accepted the offer. The interaction caused Bang and Pdogg to start production of a hip hop group, which eventually became idol group BTS.

Most of the songs' lyrics are written by him and they've been helping a lot of people to keep fighting and they've also taught and brought many meaningful things to their lives. The lyrics are not lyrics anymore; they are more like a kind of company and tool to change someone's mind. RM gave a speech once on UNICEF which seemed so heart-warming . He wanted us to love ourselves as who we are; we're perfect with all our mistakes and faults. I personally love the way he speaks so much and how many lessons he transmits me by his lyrics.
